Outdoor Learning - for the academic year 2017-2018
7B4 and 8B4 have taken part in a range of Outdoor Learning activities ranging from preparing and serving at a community coffee morning to raise money for charity, visiting local nature reserves to observe the wildlife, speaking to conservation groups and seeing river management in action, information gathering about a local Christmas tree business enterprise and making xmas bird feeders to den building, knot tying, tool use and managing fires in the forest environment.

Reason for event
Provides our students with the opportunity to help others, become more eco-friendly, develop an understanding of the need to protect the environment and foster an interest in the world around them. It provides opportunities to work collaboratively together and to try out new skills, where to fail is merely the First Attempt In Learning and perseverance and tenacity are valued.
