(Please ignore if your child/dren are remote learning from home. Only for students who would be attending face-to-face session in school this week)

Dear Parent/Carer

First of all I hope today’s disruption has not had too much impact on you as a parent/carer requiring to work. I know students can now switch to remote learning so their impact is less of an issue.
I will only close the school for face-to-face operations if absolutely necessary.

Today was one of those days where staff were unable to get into work and we staffing being very tight, we were unable to staff the bubbles at all..

Any way I am pleased to announce that we aim to be open tomorrow (Tuesday) for just the students on our existing list to be invited into school.

Kind regards
Bryan Erwin

A reminder that we expect students to follow their normal school timetable during this period of remote learning and to access their Class Teams at the scheduled times to take part in lessons - scheduled breaks are built into this timetable and we strongly urge you to use this time away from your screens.

From Monday 25th January attendance marks will be placed on Connect by your class teacher. If you do not attend your remote lesson you will receive an email/Connect notification and a mark will be placed on your Connect timeline. Please note that these notifications are an automatic process and may not take into account any personal circumstances that have been previously shared with us - the mark is for information so that we are able to work together to support your online learning.

It is our responsibility to ensure students are engaging with their remote learning and we hope that by using this system we can better support you with this. As always we welcome parent/carer feedback - please email RemoteLearningFeedback [at] kscs.org.uk including your child's name and form.

Please note: - Due to heavy snow, the school is closed today (25th January 2021) to all key worker/vulnerable students.
All years will have full suite of remote learning at this time & students should work from home.

Dear Parent/Carer

Whilst the worst of today’s snow (24th Jan 2021) may end tonight, the freezing condition may present a problem for staff to get into tomorrow.
I will be reviewing how we operate tomorrow partial/fully closure by the latest 7.30am tomorrow morning.

I wish to give you this advanced notice so you can prepare. We will make every effort to open to assist your needs. However, I hope you can understand there may well be key staff (Kitchen DS, First aiders and others) that may not be able to travel to work tomorrow.

A decision to open the school will be made at 7.30 am tomorrow morning or sooner.

Kind regards
Mr Erwin
Principal
