Year 8 have done a wonderful job on their clay tiles as part of their 'Bugs' project in their Art lessons this year.
On Wednesday 7th July, our high-prior attaining students in Years 7 and 8 took part in the Barclays Lifeskills experience. During this event, we welcomed a guest speaker from The Talent Foundry to deliver sessions encouraging pupils to pursue their aspirations, consider the skills which are beneficial in (and necessary for) success in a working environment, and reflect not only on their own future goals but the next steps they will need to take to achieve them. These sessions were thoroughly enjoyed and engaging for our students who left the event with a centred mindset and having acquired a breadth of new knowledge.

Janae and Krystian both created excellent responses to answer this question in their final PSHE lesson of this term:

Each have won a t-shirt teach from Amnesty International for their impassioned responses.

To enable everyone to stay up later than normal and watch the Euro final, students to be allowed to come in at 10.35 am on Monday ready for break. We will authorise this absence only for this day and not any further lateness beyond the stated 10.35 am arrival. The school will open as normal and accommodate any student that needs to come at the normal time of 8.40 am.
Whilst I cannot show any form of bias, good luck to both teams, but I hope a bit more luck is to one of them! Come on Northern Ireland!
