Since September 2019 we organise our pastoral system into year groups. Each year group will led by a Head of Year (teaching or non teaching) and supported by a team of Tutors, a member of the Leadership Team and a Student Support Officer. Your child will be introduced to their pastoral team upon entry to the school and will retain these familiar members of staff throughout their education journey with us.
Tutor groups meet for 55 minutes each day, becoming a small, self-supporting group. Our core curriculum, includes, reading every day, citizenship and PSHE/RSHE education as well as career and guidance to ensure we fulfil a wider educational entitlement and British values. Finally it is about preparation for life beyond school is a key element of tutor time, with specialist input from staff at specific times throughout the academic year.
To link students between year groups and to engender a sense of belonging and comradery, each student will also belong to one of our four Houses: Aspire, Excellence, Integrity or Success.
