Ken Stimpson Community School recognises the strong contribution that Religious Education (RE) can make to the education of young people. It helps young people develop beliefs and values that enrich our diverse society. It contributes to civilised debate and reasoned arguments, and helps young people understand the place of religion and beliefs in the modern world.
Whilst at Ken Stimpson we do not have a ‘bespoke’ RE lesson, we do integrate Religious Education concepts and issues into our main curriculum offer. To compliment this provision we offer short units of RE instruction in both year 7 and 8. We are undertaking (Spring 2021) a review of our RE provision with an LA consultant and anticipate enhancing our provision across all key stages with ‘drop down curriculum days’. The school remains open to discussing all delivery models and will update stakeholders as our renewal moves to recommendations.
