Lunchtime wellbeing clubs
Every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the school year.
Open to any student.
Run by Rachel Patman, Lorraine Gregg and Sharon Blackledge.
Started out as a drop in to make friends, do some mindfulness colouring, chat and relax but following a request from a student to learn to crochet, the word spread and thanks to Sharon’s expertise, several young people have now learned a new skill. One student has even knitted a small scarf.
The wellbeing ambassadors meet with us every Thursday lunchtime to discuss where we’re up to so far and to brainstorm more ideas.
We have big plans to expand the club and offer more services and we are going to pursue further funding for resources such as help books for our ‘Shelf Help’ and beanbags.
