Parental Access to the Learning Platform

Categories: School News

We've now issued letters to parents, carers and those with parental responsibility for students in years 7 to 10.  In the letter you will find your logon details for the KSCS Learning Platform.  If you haven't received a letter, please feel free to contact the school via email on learningplatform@kscs.org.uk

The letter contains your logon details and the information below:

What the Learning Platform is...

It’s an online system that can be accessed from both inside and outside of the school, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We use it to deliver information and to allow interaction between teachers and students using IT. It’s still fairly new, so some students may not yet have much experience of it.

What you will have access to...

Using the Learning Platform you will be able to view your child’s attendance, achievements, behaviour and timetable. You’ll be able to see the courses he or she is taking, although you won’t be able to see the content of the course itself. You can access the school intranet, where we post information relevant to you. There are also parent forums, allowing you to discuss many topics in a secure environment with other parents of students at Ken Stimpson.

How to access the Learning Platform...

Using your computer, open your web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox, and go to the school website at www.kscs.org.uk. You’ll find a link to the Learning Platform in the top right corner and on the Parents’ page.
